Gloria started her career as a staff nurse in Wichita, Kansas, taking on various positions as critical care educator, trauma coordinator and nurse manager. Gloria and her family moved to Kansas City in 2000 where she joined the Saint Luke's Health System and is currently the Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Saint Luke's East Hospital. Gloria has worked in Lee’s Summit since the hospital first opened in 2005.
Gloria holds an associates of nursing degree from Hesston College, a bachelor of science degree from Kansas Newman University, a masters of science in nursing from Wichita State University, and a master's degree in business administration from Baker University.
Gloria is the past president of the Missouri Organization of Nurse Leaders, and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Kansas City Area Nurse Executives, and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Gloria is also a member of the Truman Heartland Community Foundation. Gloria and her husband Gil reside in Overland Park, Kansas.
