We’re excited to share that our first Teen Advocacy Group (TAG) meeting of the year took place on Monday, and it was a great success! Out of 31 students registered for our program, 21 attended to kick off the year together.
This group of passionate students will be working throughout the year to make a difference in their schools and community by addressing important issues, sharing ideas, and leading initiatives that promote health, wellness, and positive choices among their peers.
At this first meeting, students also stepped into leadership roles that will help guide the work of the group moving forward:
President – Isabel
Vice President – Brooke & Isaac
School Representatives – Nikeese, Leah, Jenna, Sierra, Ella, Grace, and Alison
We’re so encouraged to see them already taking ownership and showing a willingness to lead.
A big thank you to the University of Central Missouri at the Missouri Innovation Campus for generously allowing us to use their space for our meeting!
We can’t wait to see the impact this team of students will have in Jackson County throughout 2025!
