Our Team

Executive Director

Rachel Nelson-Segobia has been Director of Lee's Summit CARES since 2015. Through both her personal and professional life, she has dedicated over 15 years of service in the nonprofit sector, committed to organizations that empower young people. Rachel lives in Lee's Summit with her husband, Rudy, and their daughter. In her free time, she enjoys reading, camping, hiking, and running.

Program Coordinator

After retiring from a 35-year career in the finance industry, Susan volunteered for Lee's Summit CARES and began working for the organization in 2006. Susan has enjoyed her career change and serving the Lee's Summit community in many ways.

Program Coordinator

Monica Meeks, MBA, held jobs in the journalism and marketing fields before spending more than two decades as an executive with national, regional and local nonprofits. Currently, Monica serves on many state and local boards that support drug-free youth. Monica and her husband reside in Lee’s Summit.

Youth Program Director

Tiffany Weyant was born and raised in the Kansas City area. She has dedicated her life's work to giving back to the community that gave so much to her in her youth. She received her master's in library information science from Emporia State University and uses this degree to create relationships with young people and help them work toward successful futures. Tiffany loves spending time with her nieces and nephews, as well as reading, watching Netflix, and cuddling her dogs.
